PREVIEW: Clyde v Berwick Rangers
It’s the closing day of the Ladbrokes League 2 season tomorrow, with Clyde hosting Berwick Rangers at Broadwood in what is a pivotal match in the play-off race.
A win would give The Bully Wee a chance of moving into fourth place, depending on the outcome of the Stirling Albion v Stenhousemuir match, and goal difference could also be a factor in the final outcome.
For Clyde, Kevin Nicoll is suspended, but Jack Breslin comes back into contention to be included in the squad after a long injury lay-off.
Speaking to the official website, Danny Lennon was only focussing on the task that his team faced:-
“All we can do is take care of the things that are under our control. We have no control over what happens in the game at Stirling. Our job is to ensure that we do all that we can to earn a positive result against Berwick Rangers. We need to win and, if we do, we’ll see where that takes us. We need to give everything we have.
“It has been a monumental effort from everyone at the club to move us from the bottom area of the league to challenging for a play-off place. Everyone deserves great credit for their attitude, work rate and performance since November.
“It has been an exciting journey in the second half of the season and we will be looking to continue that beyond Saturday and into next season. I believe we are in exciting times at Clyde and good times are ahead of us for the foreseeable future.”
