Cuddihy Wants to Kick On
Barry Cuddihy spoke to the press following Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Edinburgh City at Broadwood:-
“We made a brilliant start, going 2-0 up, but they got a goal back just before half-time and it was a tough one to lose. The second half was a bit end to end, but it was a great feeling to get the winner right at the end.”
The midfielder scored a goal and claimed an assist, and commented on The Bully Wee’s recent upturn in fortunes:-
“I was pleased with my goal as I’ve not scored in a while and it was good to get an assist as well! The boys have always been confident in training, but earlier in the season we were just not getting results. We’ve won three in a row now though and hopefully we can kick on.
“As soon as Danny came in he told us right away how he wants us to play and we practice this way every night at training. We’re starting to pick up points and we’ll keep working hard, to try and finish as high as possible.”
Cuddihy also praised the backing the players have received from the stands in recent weeks:-
“The past two weeks have been brilliant – the fans have been right behind us and that’s a big advantage. We went into today knowing that we could get the three points and thankfully we did.”
