PREVIEW: Clyde v Stirling Albion

Clyde will host local rivals Stirling Albion at Broadwood tomorrow in Ladbrokes League 2.

The Binos are still top of the table, however the first meeting of the sides in September produced a 3-2 win for The Bully Wee in an entertaining match.

For Clyde, Keiran Duffie returns to the squad following injury and Kevin Nicoll is also back after a suspension. However, Scott Ferguson and Matt Flynn continue to be ruled out.

Interim manager Tony McNally spoke to the official website this afternoon and once again praised the attitude of the squad.

“The boys have been great again this week,” he said. “There’s been a really high intensity at training, everyone wants to be involved and spirits are high. First and foremost we want them to start having a smile on their faces again and enjoy their football.

“We reacted at half-time last week and I thought we were excellent in the second half, we played some really good stuff and maybe could have gone on to win the match. It was also important that we stopped the rot in terms of conceding goals and other than a soft penalty, we managed to do that.

“The boys can take confidence from the way they played against Stirling last time and from the second half performance last week. They’ve been through a tough period but we’ve been reminding them that they are good players and they’ve just got to start believing in themselves again.

“I’m really enjoying the role. The reaction of the supporters last week was outstanding and the players fed off that in the second half. The end of the match showed how much everyone cares about the club and wants it to do well and I was delighted to see that.”
