PREVIEW: Clyde v Edinburgh City
Clyde will host Edinburgh City at Broadwood tomorrow, as the 2017-18 Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues.
Both teams will be hoping to build on a positive result last week, with The Bully Wee getting three points at leaders Stirling and City securing their first win of the season against Berwick Rangers.
For Clyde, David Gormley, Scott Ferguson and Matt Flynn continue to be ruled out. Flynn is scheduled to have a scan to asses a stomach muscle problem.
Jordan Lowdon and Kieran Duffie are both expected to be involved in the matchday squad though, as Jim Chapman explained when he spoke to the official website today: “For different reasons, both Jordan and Kieran are now just working their way back to being match sharp. They both got a run out for the under-20s this week and we’re really pleased with how they are coming along.”
On the match, Jim continued:-
“We want to make sure that any team coming to Broadwood faces a big challenge to get anything, with everyone on our side giving everything they’ve got.
“Last week at Stirling, we were able to sustain a level of performance for longer in the match than we had done in previously weeks and that was key. We can build some momentum now, by believing in our ability but also avoiding any complacency. That’s a fine line, but it’s up to the players to take it on.
“Gary (Jardine) deserves great credit for what he did at Edinburgh last season. We saw how good a run they went on after a difficult start and they’ve now got off the mark this season, so we know what to expect.”
