New Signings: Ramsay and Cuddihy

The club is delighted to announce the addition of two more new signings to the first team squad; Darren Ramsay and Barry Cuddihy.

Both men are joining from Annan Athletic, where they were under the management of Jim Chapman and John Joyce.

Ramsay, a 21-year-old midfielder, started his career with Rangers before moving to Galabank last summer. He went on to be a regular feature in the team as Annan secured a third place finish in League 2, scoring nine goals from midfield. That followed a season long loan to Arbroath in 2015-16, where he similarly held down a starting place throughout.

Cuddihy, 20, was a youth player at St. Mirren and made his senior debut in 2015, going on to make a handful of appearances for The Buddies. Following a short loan spell with Annan, he made a full switch to the Dumfries and Galloway club for the 2016-17 season, becoming a key member of the squad in midfield.

Speaking to the official website this evening, Clyde manager Jim Chapman said:-

“Darren and Barry are excellent young players, who both wanted to work with myself and John again. They have a lot of qualities that will be there to see very quickly.

“As both are under 23, there will be compensation due, but I’m delighted with the backing that the chairman and the board have given me in making these signings.”
