Betfred Cup Fixtures Announced

Following Friday night’s Betfred Cup Group Stage draw, the SPFL has announced the fixture lists for the opening stage of the competition.

The Bully Wee will open with a home match against Annan Athletic on Saturday 15th July, in what will be the first competitive match of the 2017-18 season.

GROUP E FIXTURES

Fri 14 July: Ayr United v Kilmarnock 7.45pm (live on BT Sport)
Sat 15 July: Clyde v Annan Athletic 3pm
Tue 18 July: Dumbarton v Ayr United 7.45pm
Tue 18 July: Kilmarnock v Clyde 7.45pm
Sat 22 July: Annan Athletic v Kilmarnock 3pm
Sat 22 July: Clyde v Dumbarton 3pm
Tue 25 July: Ayr United v Clyde 7.45pm
Tue 25 July: Dumbarton v Annan Athletic 7.45pm
Sat 29 July: Annan Athletic v Ayr United 3pm
Sat 29 July: Kilmarnock v Dumbarton 3pm

The group stage uses the traditional three points for a win and one point for a draw model however all drawn matches will go straight to a penalty shoot-out whereby the winner of the penalty shoot-out will be awarded a bonus point.

The eight group winners and four best runners-up progress to the Second Round, when they are joined by the four UEFA qualifying clubs and the competition reverts to traditional knockout format.
