End of Season Awards

Peter MacDonald has been named as the Clyde FC Player of the Year for 2016-17.

The striker featured in 41 matches during the season, scoring an impressive 22 goals and also recording 14 assists. He came out on top of a supporters’ vote at the Elgin City match last month.

Peter was also included in the PFA Scotland League 2 Team of the Year.

Dylan Easton was presented with the Goal of the Season trophy last week.

The midfielder’s excellent strike against Montrose in August was the most popular from a shortlist of six, in an online vote that was held last month.

The goal was also included in the shortlist for the PFA Scotland Goal of the Season.


Following the final game of the season against Montrose and the concluding Man of the Match vote, MacDonald has also been confirmed as the 2016-17 Website Player of the Year.

The award is based on club owners’ Man of the Match votes on every match throughout the season, with MacDonald (29 points) finishing just ahead of David Gormley (28) in second place and Scott McLaughlin (23) in third place.
