Forfar Athletic 3-0 Clyde

The Bully Wee suffered a disappointing afternoon in Ladbrokes League 2, getting convincingly outplayed by title-contenders Forfar.

There were two changes to the Clyde team, with Ross Perry and Jordan McMillan replacing the suspended Chris Smith and the injured Phil Johnston.

Martin McNiff’s long range effort was probably Clyde’s best attempt on goal in a first half that was dominated by the hosts.

Despite their dominance, The Loons were only one goal ahead at the break, which came when Danny Denholm used his pace to get away from Ewan McNeil at the back post and finish off a quick counter attack.

The second half looked like it would follow a similar pattern when, after 52 minutes, David Cox managed to scramble the ball over the line to make it 2-0.

A corner from the left was then headed in by Thomas O’Brien to eliminate any doubt about the final outcome, before Denholm smashed the post with a low drive.

The Bully Wee briefly rallied in the final minutes and McNiff, Higgins and Goodwillie all came close to getting a consolation goal.
