PREVIEW: Berwick Rangers v Clyde
The Bully Wee will travel to Berwick tomorrow, for another rearranged match in Ladbrokes League 2.
The last meeting between the clubs at Shielfield Park ended in a 1-1 draw, with the reverse fixture at Broadwood ending in a 3-2 home win after a close contest. Currently, only one point separates the two teams in the league table.
For Clyde, Ryan Finnie is out after taking a heavy knock on Saturday, but Marc McKenzie returns from suspension. Jordan McMillan will be assessed before kick-off, after suffering a calf injury at the weekend.
Joint interim manager, JP McGovern spoke to the official website this evening and he was hoping to build on Saturday’s encouraging performance against league leaders Forfar:-
“We spoke about giving ourselves a platform on Saturday and I think we did that, it was a starting point. It gives us a chance to build a bit of momentum now.
“I think the boys put out the right message in the game and the reaction from the supporters was great.
“Going to Berwick is quite a long journey in midweek but we know that you have to do that and there will be no excuses. We know that a win would take us ahead of them in the table so that is an extra motivation for us.”
Admission prices at Shielfield Park are; £12 adults, £7 concessions. Car parking is available at the stadium.
