Dundee Pair Join on Loan

The club is pleased to announce the signings of Kyle Gourlay and Kerr Waddell on loan from Dundee.

Gourlay is a goalkeeper and Waddell is a central defender and both players are part of The Dees’ under-20 side.

Following completion of the paperwork this evening, the 18-year-olds have joined Clyde on emergency loans until the end of the season.

Joint interim manager, JP McGovern spoke to the official website about moves:-

“Both players have a good pedigree, coming from Dundee and a Premiership set up. They are welcome additions to the squad and will bring some energy and extra competition for places. From their point of view, they are keen to gain the experience of playing in our first team.

“An extra goalkeeper was something we’d been looking at, given the injuries to John and Connor, so it’s good to get Kyle in. Peaso has contacts at Dundee and I was also given a good report about him.

“Kerr is a big lad who has a presence and likes to attack the ball, which is always welcome. Defence is another area where we have had injury problems and we didn’t want to be left short there.”
