McGovern Making Progress

Jon Paul McGovern is getting closer to a return to action, following a lengthy lay-off due to a knee injury.

The midfielder hasn’t been able to feature for the team so far this season, following an operation in the summer and a longer than initially expected recovery period.

However, Barry Ferguson was pleased to report that McGovern is now targeting a comeback in the near future.

“JP has stepped up his activity now and he is running at full pace,” he said. “He still has a bit of rehab to do, but he’s coming into the final stages which is positive.

“We’re hoping to get him involved in full training in the next couple of weeks.”
