Race Night Raises Excellent Sum

The race night event that took place in Glasgow on Saturday, organised by supporters, proved to be a huge success.

The fundraiser, which was attended by Barry Ferguson, Bob Malcolm and other members of staff, raised a total in the region of £3,500 for the club. As well as the horse racing action, an auction and a raffle were well supported by all.

Barry said: “It’s great that the fans were willing to organise the event in their own time and that’s why it was important that myself and the staff went along. Money is tight and every little bit helps so we really appreciate what they, and everyone else that contributed to it, have been able to raise.

“It was also good to be in a relaxed atmosphere with the supporters and get to know them a bit better. It’s really important that we build up that relationship and keep everyone going in the same direction.”

All at the club would like to thank event organisers, Richie Duncan, Paul Shanks, Lynne Shanks, Rory Holmes and John Anderson. Thanks also go to Stephanie Duncan and Debi Higgins for their assistance on the night.
