Clyde’s goals came from Michael McGinty and Lewis Clark.

Head coach, Richard Fox spoke to the official website today:-
“I’ve watched the match again twice now and to be honest, at 3-2 down going into the closing stages, there wasn’t too much in it. The final result looks a lot worse than it was. I can take some of the blame for that; as a coach I always want to push for a result when there is time left. We put an extra forward on at the end but unfortunately we were picked off on the break and conceded two late goals.
“They had three of four first team squad members in their team and we matched them for long periods, so it wasn’t all bad. We made some silly mistakes which cost us overall. Everything is a learning curve for us just now, but looking back on it I wouldn’t change what we did. There were a few things for us to go over at training tonight and we’ll take a breath and move on again.”
Richard also made special mention of one of Clyde’s goals in the match: “Our first goal started at the back with Matthew Edward and we went the full length of the park before Michael McGinty finished it. It was a fantastic team move and it shows the potential that we have in this young group.”
Next up for the youngsters is Stranraer at home on Sunday, with a 1pm kick-off at the Broadwood Astro.
