PREVIEW: Clyde v Forfar Athletic

The top two sides in Ladbrokes League 2 meet at Broadwood tomorrow. Surprisingly, it’s also the first league meeting between the clubs since 1999.

The Loons have enjoyed an excellent start to the season, winning all six matches, with The Bully Wee five points behind and leading the chasing pack.

For Clyde, Martin McNiff is suspended after being red carded at Elgin last week.

Barry Ferguson spoke to the official website ahead of the top of the table clash: “As I keep saying, every game is difficult. Forfar have started well and they are a good, well-drilled team. I know Gary Bollan well.

“We’re looking forward to it – we’re five points behind but this is a chance to pull them back. Both teams have scored a lot of goals so far and I’m expecting it to be not only a tough match but a really good one as well

“I was delighted with our application and overall performance at Elgin last week – which is a difficult place to go to – so we are looking to build on that again.

“I hope there’s a good home support at Broadwood tomorrow, we really need the fans to get behind the boys.”
