Knee Surgery for Lowdon
The club is disappointed to report that, following an awkward fall in the match at Annan Athletic recently, tests have revealed that Jordan Lowdon has suffered a cruciate knee injury.
The left-sided defender, who joined The Bully Wee in the summer, underwent surgery today and will now go through a long-term rehabilitation period.
Clyde manager, Barry Ferguson said: “First and foremost I’m devastated for Jordan. He’s a player that I’ve liked for a while and we worked hard to get him in the summer. I thought he made a really good start at the club and he was going to be a big player for us.
“I had a long chat with him last night and although he’s obviously really disappointed, I think he’s got his head around it and what he needs to do. We’ve got to focus on his rehab now, but he’s at the right place. We’ve got a really experienced physio who will help him, as will all of the staff and the squad.
“It’s a similar injury to Scott Ferguson, who has been through it and is now starting to make a comeback. That should be a big positive for Jordan to focus on.”
