David Wiseman Co-opted to Board

The club is delighted to announce the co-option of David Wiseman to the board of directors.

David, a long serving Clyde fan, will assume responsibility for Corporate Governance and will work closely with chief executive David Douglas on the supporter engagement project, designed to review the club’s vision and prioritise its objectives, formed from a shared vision and collated from the views of all supporters.

Through his previous roles as a Head of Service, Deputy Chief Executive and Trustee/Director, David has considerable experience within the public and voluntary/charity sectors, of business planning, policy development, community development, financial and human resources management and in the identification and management of business risks. David has a sound understanding of corporate governance and brings strong skills in analysis and challenging constructively.

Speaking to the official website after his appointment, David said, “As a loyal fan I am pleased to join the board and I look forward to working with other board members and Clyde fans in helping the club to progress up the leagues.”

Clyde chairman, John Alexander was equally pleased with the appointment:-

“As we move into a new phase of our development we need to ensure we have the skills and capabilities to meet the challenges, and opportunities, that lie ahead. David will strengthen the club’s ability to meet its objectives going forward.”
