PREVIEW: East Stirlingshire v Clyde
As the Ladbrokes League 2 action continues to come thick and fast, The Bully Wee will make the short journey to Ochilview tomorrow night to take on East Stirlingshire.
The two clubs met last week at Broadwood in another rearranged fixture, with The Shire leaving Cumbernauld with a single-goal victory after scoring in the second minute.
For Clyde, David Gormley returns after suspension and the fitness of fellow striker John Gemmell, who has been suffering from a hamstring problem, will be assessed before the 7.45pm kick-off.
Barry Ferguson spoke to the official website this evening:-
“It’s our game in hand and we’ve got to go and get a win, I’m not going to kid anyone on otherwise. The boys know that as well.
“We also know how tough it’s going to be after our match against them last week and other results they have picked up recently, including getting a win at Hampden.
“There are 10 games to go now and we have to aim to win as many as we can and see where it takes us.”
The Clyde boss was bullish about the prospect of facing another match following an action-packed encounter at Annan on Saturday:-
“The boys are fit enough and professional enough so there are no excuses or complaints from me on that front. They’ve had three days rest since Annan and we’ll be ready to go again.”
