Campbell Leaves Clyde

The club can confirm that Archie Campbell has been released from his contract by mutual consent.

The 25-year-old forward joined Clyde from Dumbarton last summer and went on to make 9 starts and 10 substitute appearances for The Bully Wee.

Clyde manager Barry Ferguson said:-

“I’ve got a lot of time for Archie, but sometimes a move just doesn’t work out and that’s been the case for him at Clyde.

“He always worked really hard and never gave me an ounce of trouble. It’s just unfortunate that it didn’t go the way we both wanted it to, but sometimes that happens in football.

“I’m sure he’ll go on to do really well in the future and we wish him all the best.”

Barry also confirmed again that he was still working on a deal to bring a further loan addition to the squad.
