PREVIEW: Clyde v Montrose
Clyde’s Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues tomorrow, with the visit of Montrose to Broadwood starting an important sequence of two home matches in succession.
The Gable Endies have enjoyed a good run of form in the league recently and sit in second place in the table but, similarly to The Bully Wee, they suffered a disappointing Scottish Cup exit earlier this week, at the hands of Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale.
Clyde manager Barry Ferguson had no fresh injury worries to report when he spoke to the official website ahead of the match.
“We were good in the first half at Hampden but not so good in the second half,” he said. “It was a start though and we showed some good signs. We’ve had a good week and worked through some more things. At the moment it’s about getting back to basics and we’ll get there.
“Paul Hegarty has got Montrose playing well and you’ll always get a hard game against one of Paul’s teams. They’ve been going well in the league so I won’t take anything from their cup result, we know it’s going to be a tough one.”
