PREVIEW: Berwick Rangers v Clyde
The Bully Wee’s Ladbrokes League 2 campaign continues tomorrow, with a first visit of the season to Shielfield Park.
John Coughlin recently returned to The Wee Rangers for a second spell as manager, but they suffered a defeat at Annan Athletic last week despite an encouraging performance.
Clyde have enjoyed back-to-back wins but Barry Ferguson will be without Chris Mitchell, who is suspended after being sent off against Montrose last week. However, Sean Higgins, who has been struggling with a groin strain, could feature depending on a fitness test.
Ferguson spoke to the official website ahead of the match:-
“Berwick will have got a lift from a new manager coming in and we’ve had reports that they were very unlucky to lose at Annan last week.
“It’s not the easiest place to go and play, but I’m not going to make any excuses on that front. Every team has to go there. We’ve spoken again this week about consistency over a long period and part of that is about managing different situations and different playing conditions.
“We have to again produce what we have over the last few weeks. If we don’t reach that level of performance then there will only be one outcome.”
