Foodbank Appeal Raises £940

The club is pleased to announce that the recent Christmas Foodbank Appeal raised a total of £940.60.

The donations supported the work of foodbanks in the Cumbernauld, Rutherglen and East Kilbride areas.

Clyde FC Club Chaplain and appeal organiser, John MacKinnon said:-

“I’m like to say a huge thank you for everyone’s generosity, especially at the two home matches on the 13th and 20th December.

“In East Kilbride we gave out double the regular food parcels to see families through the festive period, fed over 90 folks a Christmas dinner, presented 80 Christmas hampers to over 200 people and gifted toys to over 36 children. £300 of the cash raised met those costs, with cheques for £320 also being given to charities in Rutherglen and Cumbernauld doing similar work.

“The generosity was gratefully received and appreciated and on behalf of those who benefitted, a heartfelt thanks.”
