Think Pink Strip Sales Continue
Following the initial announcement in June, the club has continued its partnership with the Glasgow-based breast cancer research charity, Think Pink Scotland.
As part of the relationship, the Clyde first team has put into service a pink third strip and, in conjunction with kit supplier Only Sports, 20% of all replica kit sales will be donated to Think Pink Scotland.
Clyde Director Bobby Gracey spoke to the official website with an update on the progress of the campaign and future plans:-
“We now have over 85 pink strips sold, which will see us make a minimum donation of £700 to the Think Pink Scotland charity fund. Ideally we would like to raise over £1,000 and I have no doubt that we will achieve this target before the end of the season.
“Our relationship with Think Pink has also taken the club to the heart of The University of Glasgow and this month the University highlighted the efforts of Clyde to over 75,000 of their current and former medical students via their publication, Medical Fund.”
The unique pink kit will have its latest outing on Saturday at the Scottish Cup match against Spartans in Edinburgh. The club will also be announcing a Think Pink day at a home league match, where the charity will be guests of honour.
Bobby continued: “I’m sure further fundraising efforts will take place on this day and, in recent communications with the University of Glasgow, they are really keen for a charity match to be arranged.
“There is no doubt that it is a great honour for Clyde to be working with such a worthwhile local charity. On behalf of Think Pink Scotland I would like to thank every supporter who has bought a pink strip and I hope further sales will follow in the run up to Christmas.”
