Barry Adds Three to Squad

The club is delighted to confirm the signature of three players this evening.

Scott Durie, David Sinclair and David Gray (pictured left to right) have all joined The Bully Wee.

22-year-old defender Durie has signed a two-year contract with Clyde. The former Rangers youngster joined East Fife in 2010 and went on to make over 130 appearances for the Methil club, primarily in a full back position. He featured at Broadwood in the first leg of the League One play-off semi-final in May.

Sinclair, 23, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal, subject to International clearance. The midfielder progressed through the youth ranks at Livingston and made his first team debut at the age of 17. After four years as a senior player at Livi, he moved on to Ayr United and then Airdrie, before a short spell at Icelandic club BÍ/Bolungarvík earlier this year.

Fellow midfielder Gray has agreed a one-year contract with the club. The 26-year-old brings a lot of experience to Clyde, following two years with Montrose and previous spells at various other clubs including Airdrie, Dumbarton and Kitsap Pumas in the United States.

Clyde manager Barry Ferguson spoke exclusively to the official website this evening on the triple capture:-

“I’m delighted to get the three of them. They are players that I identified straight away and although it took a bit longer than I expected we have managed to get them in.

“They bring experience of playing at this level and that’s crucial. As soon as I took the job I decided that I wanted players that have competed at this level for at least a couple of seasons. They are good players, they need to get a bit fitter but that also applies to the rest of the squad at the moment.

“Hopefully we can add another one or two before the start of the season. I want competition and it’s important that we have a squad of 20-22 players to keep everyone on their toes, knowing that if they play well and train well they will keep their place in the team.”

The full list of players currently signed up for 2014-15 is; Jamie Barclay, Nik Rajovic, Scott Durie, Ryan Frances, Iain Gray, David Marsh, Fraser McGhee, Ross McKinnon, Brian McQueen, Giuseppe Capuano, Scott Ferguson, David Gray, Stuart McColm, Pat Scullion, David Sinclair, John Sweeney, Gordon Young, Michael Daly, Gary Graham, Kevin Watt.
