Update on Manager Appointment

With the closing date for applications now passed, club secretary Gordon Thomson spoke to the official website for an update on the progress towards appointing a new first team manager for The Bully Wee.

“There has been a really encouraging response to the vacancy,” Gordon said. “That’s not only in the number, but also in the quality of applications.

“The next stage is to commence interviews and to talk more formally to individuals about their vision for the club. This is a process that will not be rushed as we seek to get the right person in place.

“As we would expect, there has been much speculation on the prospective candidates but as a matter of professional courtesy we will not disclose any details about the applicants.

“Alongside the recruitment process, preparations are continuing for the new season. Pre-season training will begin on 24th June. We are currently discussing dates with two Championship clubs for friendlies, probably closed door, to ensure that everything is ready for the players.”
