Barry Delighted by Squad Response

Barry Ferguson spoke to the official website tonight, following a busy day at Broadwood that concluded with the first training session of pre-season.

“I was delighted with it,” he said. “I think the boys got a bit of a shock because we had the balls out straight away. That’s the way I want to do my training, although we will have some running in between it of course.

“I had a chat with everyone for ten minutes before we started and we got a great response, they worked ever so hard. It’s early days in terms of fitness but that will come.

“It was good to see everyone there and I was delighted with the work-rate and effort from the boys.”

Earlier in the day, Barry was introduced to the media and helped to promote the club’s partnership with Think Pink Scotland. He concluded by confirming that he was close to adding to the squad:-

“I’m hoping to have two players signed up by the weekend; a defender and a midfielder. That will probably leaves us with space for one more.”
