Recruitment Process Begins
Following the departure of Jim Duffy on Monday, the club has begun the process of finding a new first team manager ahead of the 2014-15 campaign.
Clyde chairman John Alexander spoke to the official website about the challenge ahead:-
“Jim’s departure was a surprise and it came out of the blue,” he said. “However, we have already started the process of recruiting his successor.
“Undoubtedly, the club has made progress in recent years and we want to build on that. The temptation might be to rush, but we do need to take a bit of time to agree on the criteria required. Making any appointment as manager is a risk and we have to reduce that risk.
“We have already received considerable interest in the post which, again, compared to other times is testimony to the progress made.
“Next season will be a challenge to meet and exceed the expectations set during the past season, but we have a squad of players signed who bond well as a team and the passionate support in the play-offs evidences the strength of feeling for our club. So we have much to be positive about.
“Other preparations for next season will continue as normal, from confirming arrangements for pre-season training, agreeing kit to the usual end of season business and reporting. It has been and will continue to be a busy time but we will keep supporters informed of any developments.”
