PREVIEW: Clyde v Stirling Albion
Broadwood will host another big match in League Two tomorrow, as The Bully Wee take on fellow promotion candidates Stirling Albion.
Clyde have enjoyed a fine couple of weeks with high-scoring wins over Elgin City and Queen’s Park, with The Binos hoping to bounce back after losing a late goal to Elgin on Tuesday night.
Kevin Watt (ankle) and Ryan MacBeth (illness) remain out, but ‘keeper Nik Rajovic could be added to the squad after resuming training this week. Michael Daly is also set to be involved as Jim Duffy explained when he spoke to the official website this evening:-
“Michael has been doing well of late. His link up play has always been good but now he is becoming more of a threat in the box and that is a boost to both him and the team. Due to suspension, he will miss out next week at Berwick but he is eligible tomorrow and it has been great to see him back amongst the goals recently.”
Jim continued, “We are determined to maintain the momentum gained over the last fortnight. We are under no illusions to the task we have tomorrow but it’s an opportunity for us and the benefits of a win would be two-fold. Firstly, it would create a gap over Stirling and secondly, very simply, it’s another game done as the end of the season gets closer.
“Regardless, I believe the race for the play-offs will go to the last fortnight so we just need to concentrate on ourselves and continue the winning habit of the last couple of games.”
