Clyde 1-0 Stirling Albion

Clyde took a big step towards securing a League One Play-Off slot at Broadwood this afternoon, with a single goal victory over Stirling Albion.

For the third week in a row, Jim Duffy fielded the same starting line-up in a 4-4-2 formation.

A Stefan McCluskey goal in the 44th minute was the difference between the sides, as he capitalised on a defensive error and coolly rounded the advancing ‘keeper (pictured) to roll the ball into the net.

It was an excellent team performance but the absence of a second goal kept the nerves jangling to the final whistle.

However, the three points were no more than Clyde deserved as throughout the match The Bully Wee created the majority of goalscoring opportunities in an entertaining game.
