McKinnon Signs

The club has this evening signed former Elgin City full back Ross McKinnon until the end of the season.

The left sided 21-year-old started his career with Motherwell and gained experience during loan spells with Dumbarton and Alloa, before signing for Elgin in January last year.

Despite playing in 16 matches for The Black & Whites this season, Ross left Borough Briggs during the transfer window and was therefore free to sign for Clyde today.

Jim Duffy said: “Kieran MacDonald was the only left back at the club and I wanted the squad to have more depth on the left side, as one injury or suspension in that area would require us to move around a number of players.

“I think this is the first time that we have been in the position to add to our options at this time of the year, so that is pleasing.

“The next few months are an opportunity for Ross to show what he is capable of and we can look at things again at the end of the season. Despite his age, he has good match experience and that will be important as the season progresses.”
