‘Bring a Mate’ on Saturday

The official website caught up with club director, Bobby Gracey to discuss the Budget Development Fund and a new angle on the fundraising front ahead of Saturday’s League Two match against Stirling Albion.

“A further £2,000 has been donated in the past few days,” Bobby said. “So we are now at circa £6,400… with £23,600 still to be raised!

“In addition to working with owners and fans I have been involved in discussions with new external investors regarding our young player investment model. I am confident that, in the next couple of weeks, this will also bring new revenues towards our target.

“Aside from providing financial donations, we should all be doing whatever we can to increase our home attendances at Broadwood. This action alone will substantially improve our cash flow/budget deficit and I would urge every fan to take this fact on board and do everything in their power to bring a friend to our home games, starting on Saturday.

“An additional 150 adults coming along on matchdays would bring in £1800 of new income that would go straight to balancing our operating costs.

“I am sure that if we can improve our attendances on a Saturday this will not only help the running of the club off the park, but will undoubtedly give our players an extra boost on the park as they continue go from strength to strength in what is proving to be a very interesting league.

“Finally, on behalf of myself and the board, I would like to thank all of our great fans for their ongoing support and I know that, together, we will restore the fortunes of the famous Bully Wee.”
