PREVIEW: Falkirk v Clyde
Clyde travel to Alloa’s Recreation Park tomorrow to face Falkirk in the First Round of the Scottish League Cup.
It is, of course, the second consecutive week that The Bully Wee will face the Bairns. Last week ,Falkirk ran out 2-1 winners and after that closely contested Ramsdens Cup match manager Jim Duffy is looking for a similar performance but with a different outcome.
“I felt the players did really well last week against a side destined to be in the mix for the Premiership play-offs,” Jim said. “The performance gave us hope for the season ahead, however we realise that tomorrow we will have to improve further but we will do our best to progress.”
Clyde will welcome back Gavin Brown but will still be without Brian McQueen and Sean Fitzharris.
However, Jamie Barclay is at risk of missing his first match for the club since he joined last summer from Berwick Rangers. The ‘keeper has an ankle knock and will face a late fitness test and Under-19 goalkeeper Sam George has been promoted to the first team squad. His teammate, Scott Ferguson, who featured as a trialist last week, has also been signed in time for this weekend.
Admission prices are; Adults £12, Concessions £6. Children under-12 will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult.
