Rangers 2-0 Clyde

IRN-BRU Third Division Champions Rangers recorded a comfortable two-goal victory over The Bully Wee at Ibrox this afternoon.

Jim Duffy made two changes to the team that defeated Berwick last week, with Kieran McGachie and Marc McCusker replacing Kevin Watt and Sean Fitzharris.

The Gers controlled most of the first half possession and territory, without creating a great deal of clear-cut chances against a hardworking Clyde defensive unit. Jamie Barclay was forced into a few saves though, with his best coming from a deflected shot which he pushed away from his left hand post.

Early in the second half, the home side made the breakthrough. Lee McCulloch was given too much space in the box as he attacked a cross ball, allowing him a simple finish on the volley.

The remainder of the match featured little action at either end, although Barclay did pull off a fine save to stop the ball finding the roof of his net.

With time running out, Rangers claimed a clinching goal as Kyle Hutton broke into the penalty box and put a low shot past Barclay.
