Clyde Archive Continues to Grow

The club’s new historical reference point – The Clyde Archive – is continuing to develop, with new content being added to its website regularly.

Interest in the project is also widening, with STV Sport today running a feature on it.

Speaking to STV, project leader Gordon Sydney (pictured on homepage) said: “Initially, the primary focus of The Clyde Archive was to establish a Clyde FC Hall of Fame, to honour and remember those who have contributed to the fabric of this great football club.

“We’ve now held two such events, both of which have been immensely successful, to such an extent that this event is now a fixture on the club calendar.

“I was conscious though that we weren’t reaching a lot of supporters and other interested parties so, along with a friend (and honorary Clyde supporter) Sandy Forrest, we built an archive website which is intended to be a virtual museum and gathering place for ‘all things Clyde’.”

The Clyde Archive site can be found at theclydearchive.co.uk and the club’s official website will soon carry a visible link to the partner venture on its homepage, giving Clyde fans easy access to the resource.
