Marc Keen for Match Action

On loan Marc McCusker spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk yesterday, after featuring as a substitute in a 2-0 win over East Stirling at Broadwood.

The striker explained his reasons for returning to Clyde for a fourth spell:-

“I’m hoping to get some game time before the end of the season. It was good to get involved today and it was a great win which lifts us up the table again. The more wins we can pick up, the higher we can finish in the league. There are definitely games we can win.

“I was fit during my whole time at Dumbarton. I played and scored against Airdrie, but they had a striker who was returning from injury who had done well so it made it difficult for me to get a run in the team. They had players in form and when that happens it’s just a case of keeping your head down and working hard.

“However it got to the stage where I was needing games, so the manager let me go out on loan.”

In terms of his future, Marc was focussed solely on the close to the current campaign:-

“I don’t know what will happen next season to be honest. At the moment I’m just pleased to be back at Clyde and involved again.”

Next on the schedule is a visit to Elgin on Tuesday night, but a long journey wasn’t putting Marc off in his search for action on the pitch:-

“I’m definitely looking forward to it. It’s hopefully another game I can get involved in and another chance for three points.”
