PREVIEW: Montrose v Clyde
A successful pitch inspection means that Clyde travel North today in a repeat of the first league game of the season as the Bully Wee take on Montrose.
The Links Park club have had an excellent campaign to date, lie in fourth position and will certainly provide a stern test. However, Jim Duffy’s squad go into this match buoyed by last week’s win over Stirling.
Disappointingly it does appear that at least one change will have to be made to the starting eleven. John Neill remains out with a chest infection while new signing Kevin Nicoll also misses out due to a hamstring injury, which is a major blow following his encouraging debut last week.
Jim Duffy commented, “The games against Montrose have been extremely close. Last time at Links Park we conceded two spectacular goals but a second half fightback produced a great victory and a welcome three points.
“Undoubtedly we need to start the game better today as we can’t normally afford to give teams two goals of a start and we are determined to follow up our win over Stirling with another success today.”
