Fan-tastic Response
Club chairman John Alexander spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk following today’s victory over Stirling Albion, which was watched by a healthy crowd at Broadwood.
Under-16s were granted free entry to the IRN-BRU Third Division match, with a crowd of 912 being a notable increase on recent home attendances.
“We are delighted with the response,” John said. “It was great to see a crowd close to the thousand mark and we hope to repeat this venture soon. My thanks go to all those who helped to make it happen.”
The Bully Wee’s manager, Jim Duffy echoed those sentiments when speaking after the match:-
“It was great to see so many youngsters in the crowd and they helped lift the atmosphere around the place. The players really appreciated the support they got throughout the match and I think they responded positively to it.
“We hope everyone will come back to our next home match against Elgin next month.”
