PREVIEW: Elgin City v Clyde
On the eve of Clyde’s trip to Elgin, Bully Wee boss Jim Duffy was looking forward to getting the first team squad back into action following last week’s late postponement. He spoke to the official website ahead of the journey north:-
“Weather wise, it seems to be fine up there at the moment and the team is keen to get back playing, especially after the disappointment of missing out against Queen’s Park last Saturday. We played well at Annan and got our reward and we want to continue that form tomorrow.”
Elgin City have informed the club that their Borough Briggs pitch was playable today, with no adverse weather anticipated overnight.
“We have had some good matches up there in the past,” Jim continued. “But what happens tomorrow is all that matters. Elgin have performed well this year and will be looking to continue to put pressure on Rangers at the top of the table.
“Team wise, David Marsh misses out due to suspension but Gavin Brown and Michael Oliver come back into contention and will be added to the squad.”
