PREVIEW: Queen’s Park v Clyde
The National Stadium returns to domestic duty on Saturday, as The Bully Wee make the short trip to take on Glasgow rivals Queen’s Park.
Stef McCluskey, Bryan Gilfillan and Steven Masterton all returned to training this week following knocks and are therefore in contention to play a part. Craig Wedderburn could also feature after he signed a short-term deal with the club.
Iain Gray, however, will miss out again.
The Spiders have defeated Clyde in each of the last seven meetings between the clubs and it was a record that Jim Duffy was well aware of when he spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk tonight:-
“A club can go through a spell of having a ‘bogey team’ and Queen’s Park have certainly been ours in recent times. We have gifted them too many goals through basic errors and I can only think of 1 or 2 games in the last two years when we could say that we have maybe deserved something.
“It’s up to us to improve our performance level on Saturday. They are undoubtedly a decent side that play good football but we have consistently underperformed in the fixture recently.
“We can build on a good start with a positive display and that’s what we are aiming to do.”
Admission prices at Hampden Park are £12 for adults, £2 for under-16s/students/UB40s/senior citizens and £12 for parents plus £1 for each accompanied child.
