Friendly Draw as Work Continues

The Bully Wee continued their preparations for the 2012-13 season with a match against Kilmarnock Under-20s on Saturday. Manager Jim Duffy spoke to www.clydefc.co.uk today to reflect on the game, which ended in a 1-1 draw:-

“It was a good workout for the players and it also gave me a chance to look at a few more trialists as we near the start of the season.

“It was a plus that Stuart McColm got his first goal for the club, it’s always important for forwards to get off the mark. A further positive was the debut of new signing Stefan McCluskey, who came off the bench in the second half.

“I was delighted that Stefan chose to join us from Shotts and I look forward to seeing him continuing the form that brought him so much attention from other clubs.

“It’s a pity that Saturday’s match against Partick Thistle can’t be played at Broadwood, but after all the hard work the players have put in in pre-season they will just be delighted to get the competitive action under way.”

Clyde’s line-up on Saturday was:-

Barclay, Brown, Trialist, Marsh, Gray, Hay, Oliver, Sweeney, Trialist, Scullion, McColm. SUBS: Graham, Rajovic, Trialist, MacBeth, McCluskey.
