MacBeth Returns to Clyde

Jim Duffy has moved to add to the club’s squad again today, with the signature of Ryan MacBeth on a two-year deal.

The midfielder will be familiar to many fans of The Bully Wee, as he has already featured five times for Clyde – during a loan spell in early 2011.

Ryan, 21, came through the ranks at Partick Thistle, breaking into the first team in 2008, but only managed to play in six matches for The Jags. Following a difficult time with injuries, he left Firhill by mutual consent in March.

“I’m delighted with the signing,” Jim told the official website this afternoon. “When Ryan left Thistle last season, he came in and trained with us for a few weeks and I invited him back for pre-season.

“His ability was never in question, we just needed to see about his fitness. He has recovered well from an operation, has looked good so far and was very keen to sign for us.

“He will certainly boost our options in midfield and I look forward to seeing him feature in the Clyde team again.”
