Barclay Joins The Bully Wee

Jim Duffy has completed his first signing of the summer, with Jamie Barclay making the move to Clyde from Berwick Rangers.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper has signed a two-year deal with The Bully Wee.

“I’m really pleased to get Jamie on board,” Jim said. “He is still young but has plenty of games under his belt and also a good knowledge of the Third Division.”

Jamie began his career at Falkirk and had spells on loan at Berwick and East Stirling, during which time he earned Scotland Under-21 recognition. After leaving The Falkirk Stadium last summer, he signed for The Borderers and went on to make 35 appearances in the 2011-12 season.

Jim added:-

“We’re speaking to number of players at the moment. Unfortunately we can’t compete with some clubs in financial terms, but we are working hard to bring new faces to the club.”
