PREVIEW: Clyde v Alloa Athletic
The prospect of playing champions elect Alloa Athletic in the Bully Wee’s last home match of the season at Broadwood on Saturday is not daunting Clyde boss Jim Duffy.
He commented, “It’s actually a good way to finish our home matches, as opposed to petering out we can finish on a high as we try and keep this good run going against the best team in the league.
“In each game we’ve competed well with Alloa this season and in our last home game we beat Stranraer who have reached the play-offs. It is frustrating how many points we are behind these sides but we have lacked their consistency and injuries have greatly affected us. However, another positive display on Saturday can give us hope as we build for next season.
“Brian McQueen, Kieran Brannan and Daniel Fitzpatrick remain out and Jamie Pollock has returned to Motherwell. It is also a case of ‘one in one out’ from the squad that faced Peterhead; Paul Hay returns after injury but unfortunately Iain Gray is suspended.”
