Clyde 1-1 Annan Athletic

The Bully Wee earned a point against Annan this afternoon, with the promotion-chasing visitors ending the match with ten men.

Jim Duffy was forced to make a late change to the side, with Brian McQueen feeling unwell during the warm-up. Jason Marr stepped up from the bench.

Neither goalkeeper had much to do in the opening spell of the match, but Clyde took the lead after 26 minutes. Iain Gray’s cross was deflected into the path of Jamie Pollock and the midfielder found the net from the edge of the box.

The visitors were still offering little threat to the Clyde goal as the match progressed into the second half and Ryan Kane nearly doubled the lead, but his fine long-range effort was tipped over the bar by Alex Mitchell.

However, a moment of sloppy defending allowed David Winters to grab an equaliser, with his shot from close range squeezing past Nick Feely.

The Galabankies were then forced to play the last 15 minutes with ten men, when David Cox (pictured) was shown a red card for a foolish act of violent conduct towards Stephen McDonald.

Kane had another chance to score with a volley, but Annan then missed a glorious opportunity to snatch all three points, with sub Bryan Gilfillan putting a header over the bar when it seemed easier to score.
