All Aboard the IRN-BRU Bus
Clyde FC’s IRN-BRU Cans for Youth Teams collection drive is set to receive a PHENOMENAL boost on Saturday (24 March) when the IRN-BRU bus rolls into town for their game against Elgin City (kick-off 3pm).
Fans at the match will be encouraged to keep collecting cans to help score their team a greater share of £70,000, as part of IRN-BRU’s Cans for Youth Teams initiative. The activity aims to support the SFL stars of the future through investing in the youth set-up in of each of the 30 SFL clubs.
The IRN-BRU bus team will be armed with their fun inflatable skill zone where fans can practice their penalties and score some IRN-BRU goodies.
Senior Brand Manager for IRN-BRU, Martin Steele, said: “Through Cans for Youth Teams, IRN-BRU will invest in developing the next generation of footballing talent.
“How much money each team gets can be decided by the fans and the local community, so the IRN-BRU bus tour is our way of helping everyone to get involved in the can collections and do their bit for the future of their club.”
Cans for Youth Teams collection bins will be placed around the ground and at participating local stores and venues, making it easier for members of the public to drop in their used cans of IRN-BRU. Fans have until 5th May 2012 to collect for their club.
Supporters can follow their team’s progress this year through the Cans for Youth Teams League Table which is available online at www.phenomenalfooty.com, as well the homepage of www.clydefc.co.uk. The final league table will be unveiled at the IRN-BRU SFL Phenomenal End of Season Awards due to take place on 23 May 2012.
