Clyde Thanked By Erskine Hospital
Following the club’s charitable appeal prior to our match with Annan Athletic, Clyde were delighted to hear Erskine Hospital confirm that the amount raised at the match was £400.
The monies raised delighted Peter O’Donnell who organised the appeal and contacted the club on hearing the news: “I would just like to pass on my thanks for the kind donation and the warm reception at Clyde towards ourselves as we raised funds.”
Erskine Community Fundraiser, Susan Bradley was equally pleased: “A grand total of £400 was raised with many members of the public also chatting to our volunteers and learning about the work which Erskine does. Thank you very much for showing Erskine your support – we are very grateful for your help.”
Gordon Thomson, Director of Community and Volunteering commented, “We were delighted to assist such a worthy cause as the Erskine Hospital and my thanks go to all the supporters who contributed to this appeal.
“In the past month, with this appeal and a previous donation given to Alzheimer Scotland, nearly a thousand pounds has been raised by Bully Wee supporters for good causes. It has been a tremendous effort considering the time of year and the tough financial times that many are experiencing.
“Clyde may at present be in the Third Division on the pitch but, with their generosity, our supporters have shown they are in the Premier League.”
