Fans Raise Over £500

At the East Stirling match yesterday, Clyde Football Club welcomed ex-pats Jimmy Young and Ronnie Stevens. The guys flew over from Australia at the beginning of the week and by the time they arrived at Broadwood had completed the West Highland Way walk on behalf of Alzheimer Scotland.

Jimmy hailed from Castlemilk and hasn’t seen the Bully Wee since he was a boy, however his family and friends are keen supporters.

Clyde FC was delighted to respond quickly to their request and lend support to their cause, with an excellent sum of £514.47 being raised via bucket collection by the ever-generous Bully Wee fans.

Following the match, a delighted Jimmy asked that his heartfelt thanks be passed to the Club for the support and hospitality afforded to him and Ronnie, as well as the supporters for their much appreciated contributions.
