Bully Wee Bowl 2011
On Sunday evening, the Clyde management team and local players represented the Club at its first Bully Wee Bowl event at Pro Bowl in Kirkintilloch.
The event was organised by volunteer Derek Inglis, who told the official website “I was bowled over by the turnout and obvious fun generated throughout the evening.”
Assistant manager, Chic Charnley welcomed everyone to Pro Bowl and thanked them for their generosity before getting the ‘fun-raiser’ underway. Jim Duffy was on hand to draw the raffle for some great prizes donated by City Barbers, Pizza Hut, Gala Bingo, Broadwood Farm and Clyde FC.
The top scorer in the opening game, with 136, was Clyde director David McPherson so the boardroom passes were held over until the second game when John Sweeney – who enjoys the odd strike from 30 yards – claimed the top score and was delighted to win the prize for his family to enjoy boardroom hospitality on a match day.
Other players who attended the evening included Iain Gray and Michael Oliver and they were delighted to be part of what was a brilliant evening and one that may just be added to the fundraising calendar.
Derek signed off by once again thanking everyone for making his first fundraiser a huge success including a massive thank you to Pro Bowl for providing their facility for the evening.
