Alzheimer Scotland Fundraising
Clyde Football Club will welcome ex-pats Jimmy Young and Ronnie Stevens along to Broadwood tomorrow. As part of their fundraising efforts for Alzheimer Scotland, the guys flew over from Australia at the beginning of the week and have already completed the well-known West Highland Way walk.
Jimmy hailed from Castlemilk and hasn’t seen the Bully Wee since he was a boy, however his family and friends are keen supporters. Clyde FC is delighted to lend its support to their cause and would ask all fans of the Bully Wee to contribute via the bucket collections at the turnstiles. The lads have a £10k fundraising target and are upbeat about achieving such a sum.
Currently, 82,500 people in Scotland are diagnosed with dementia and, like most charitable organizations, they rely on public backing to provide vital support and services. Voluntary contributions will be grateful in your support of Jimmy and Ronnie’s fundraising efforts.
Further details on Alzheimer Scotland can be found at www.alzscot.org and you can read an article on the subject written by Jimmy in the largest Internationally Scottish newspaper, The Scottish Banner.
