Two Deals Completed
Mark Archdeacon and Paul Hay completed their moves to Clyde today and manager Jim Duffy was pleased to see them sign on:-
“I know Mark (pictured on homepage) from my time at Brechin but also from his spell at Motherwell. He is a forward who is versatile in that he can play as an out and out striker but also can feature on the left. However, he comes to life in the box and I believe he will score goals for us.”
The signing of Hay (left) marks a return to Broadwood, where Paul started his professional career before an extensive period at Stirling and latterly at East Stirlingshire. Jim continued:-
“Paul is an experienced defender and he will also give us options as he can also play in midfield as well as across the back four. The squad will be tight and we will need both his knowledge and his flexibility throughout the season.
“The critical thing about both of them was that they were really committed to joining the club. The players wanted to come and play for Clyde and were eager and enthusiastic to do so.
“I look forward to working with them and that will start from Tuesday when pre-season training commences.”
