Nicki Moves On
The club can confirm today that midfielder Nicki Paterson has left Clyde, to continue his career in the United States.
Nicki was previously based in America but returned to his native Scotland last year and signed for the Bully Wee in September. He went on to make 17 appearances, scoring 3 goals – including a fine free-kick against Elgin City at Broadwood.
He featured against Arbroath last night and it’s turned out to be his last game for the club, as he has now been issued with a Visa that allows him to complete a move to Charleston Battery of the USL First Division.
Nicki contacted the official website with some closing comments:-
“It is with sadness that I depart Clyde, especially as things have turned a corner in recent weeks. I wish all the lads well for the remainder of the season.
“I have made some great friends at the club and I want to thank Jim, Chic, Neil and all the current and previous staff for a great few months while I have been back in Scotland.
“Mon the Bully Wee!”
Clyde FC wishes Nicki every success in the future.
